They must be, because the few Sigur Ros fans that I run into are usually fans of Radiohead and the slew of bands that usually go along with them. You do have a point in saying that people ate up "Med Sud..." when it was a rather dry album at times.

Shit man I never pegged you for a Talk Talk fan! I have a few albums and they're thoroughly steeped in the eighties, but even so they're awesome as forerunners to the "ambient" alternative genre. Spirit of Eden is absolutely gorgeous in its simplicity.

And to think there's cunts out there like Steven Wilson who perpetuate the myth that no good prog came out of the eighties.

Since I'm from MN, I gotta rep Tapes n' Tapes. They haven't polished off just yet but I have hope that they will take strides to create some amazing music here in the next few years. =]

Gorillaz thumbs up big time, I remember when I first heard them in 4th grade or something. Pretty amazing stuff haha.

If I made another thread saying "10 songs you need to hear before you die."

Numero Uno: Earth, Wind and Fire - September.

can't help but smile at this song =].

I am a MASSIVE Talk Talk fan. Talk about a band of two halves! Spirit of Eden is indeed superb.
