Album that changed your musical outlook...?

I've got two:

Strange Kind of Love by Love and Money.
Hats by The Blue Nile.

Made me far more appreciative of songwriting, lyrics and how much a fabulous voice can move you.

Prior to owning this I could be seen listening to Taking Back Sunday and The Used.

When I was younger my entire notion of loud music began and ended with heavy metal. Then, when I was 14, I heard this album. I don't think any album has ever blown my mind the way this one did. It completely redefined how I looked at music and was my gateway drug into the the wonderful world of Wax Trax.

As a kid the hip-hop I knew was people like MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice and as a result I hated hip-hop. Then when I was 15 this album came out and I promptly fell in love with it and did a complete 180 with my attitude toward hip-hop.

Donavon

The self titled debut of donavon frankenreiter got me into the style of music I most appreciate today.

i would have to say pearl jams 'ten' really changed me from being someone who listened to music to someone who appreciated\enjoyed music. pearl jam was the first real rock concert i ever saw right after i got my license. my music outlook has been changed many times however, from many different albums. namely;

at the drive in - relationships of command
daft punk - homework
ratatat - classics
of montreal - hissing fauna are you the destroyer
gorillaz - demon days
the doors - the doors
the beatles - sgt peppers and the lonely hearts club band
pink floyd - dark side of the moon

these specific albums probably had some of the biggest influences on my musical outlook.

This is the album that started it off for me.

This album was the gateway to every band or genre I have every listened to right up to the present day.

Without this I would have no interest in music & would probably be still buying chart rubbish.

And I probably wouldn't be posting here now either.
