Default Legendary and Epic Themed Music

This kind of music has been referred to a few genres, but the one I'm looking for is the more folk like side of it. If anyone has ever seen any of the big blockbuster fantasy films, you may know what I mean. It's the music that screams, big, legendary, and fantastical. I'm trying to find more of it, or at least a composer that is known to write some. The best example I can think of at this point is the the music accompaniment to Within Temptation's Somewhere. It's an amazing song, but tune out the vocals and listen to all the music, especially at the end. Drums are wonderful.

The Theme to The Last of the Mohicans is another that I would put up there with what I'm talking about.

Anyone got any ideas?

have you tried listening to immediate music, two steps from hell and x-ray dog? they are all companies that specialise in making trailer music.

Dead Can Dance definatley has a few songs that I consider epic and should be in huge blockbusters.
