Monster Magnet - Dopes To Infinity

I grabbed this out of my stack of CD's to listen to in the car and for my 25 minute drive I was fucking invincible. Thick riffs accented by space type samples layered on top of comic book lyrics, I enjoyed this album when it came out and it just occurred to me how amazing it is. I really wish I still tripped cuz this one would be a mindfuck

Queen, Bad Company, and System of a Down have been collecting dust in my collection for a long time now.

Animal Collective. I was sort of into them around early '08 when Water Curses leaked, and I totally neglected them until I rediscovered them last month. They've quickly skyrocketed to my top artist on Last.fm, lulz.

Tears For Fears are actually an excellent group. Have you heard Roland Orzabal's solo album 'Tomcats Screaming Outside' it is absolutely fantastic, I just bought it and never expected it to be so good. I think its better than anything Tears For Fears ever did. Very experimental throughout as well.

As for you, my long lost friend, Im glad your joking but dont worry I checked them out on amazon samples about a month ago but luckily I didnt buy the album.

As for great bands Ive forgot about. Redhotchilipeppers I dug out their old 'By The Way' album a few months back which was basically the first ever album i really got into. I since think their earlier funk stuff is a hell of a lot better (especially Uplift Mofo Party Plan) but when i listened to that album it all came back to me and its amazing to hear it and it still sounds great after roughly 5 or 6 years of not listening.
Another one is The Stone Roses, used to be into them around the same time (about a year after or so) and dug out 'The Very Best Of' which is unconditional excellence from start to finish and my opinion hasnt changed. I usually avoid compilation albums but The Stone Roses are one of those few bands who I prefer to listen to the best of rather than the studio albums.
Generally speaking it happens all the time because I have so many albums from bands that I have been into over the years and I keep going back to most of them and 'rediscovering' if you like what you forgot was great music. Its one of the best feelings alongside discovering new great music you havent heard before.

Arab on Radar. I got one album by them and had that kind of ugh... feel to them. I just couldn't get into it. A few months later, my brain told me to listen to them, so I did and spontanuously liked it alot more.
