Her voice is wonderful, like a more accessable, less child-like Joanna Newsom. Get cracking with this thread guys.

Angus and Julia Stone - A Book Like This

This little beauty has found it’s way into a few of your eager hands during the last few weeks, and as far as I know it’s received all positive responses. It’s a nice acoustic, indie-pop sounding album with lots of soothing harmonica and simple (but lovely) chord progressions. I didn’t like it upon first listen but now, and I’m sure others would agree, it’s irrevocably grown on me.

Favorite Tracks: Just A Boy, Wasted, Jewels and Gold, and Stranger.

Adorable.

I think they're fantastic, I love hearing the harmonica!

"hear the one with the mustache say 'jeez i cant find my knees'"

Bob Dylan- Blonde on Blonde

Sure Blonde on Blonde may sound like a bad porno but its also one of my favorite albums by God Dylan (yeh I said God Dylan, because Bob Dylan IS God). Once in awhile you hear an album that just completely changes you, you maybe going through a ruff patch or just growing up but when you hear that album you can only think “were have you been hiding all this time?” This album did that for me. Its so lyrically rich its almost hard to believe a person can write this kinda stuff. This is Bob Dylan’s 2nd rock n roll album, and he would never make anything like it again. Blonde On Blonde continues where its predecessor Highway 61 Revisited left off. But Im not really into this album for the rock band element, for me as its always been about 2 things, his lyrics, and his voice. Some might find his nasally voice annoying but I love it. Though there are a lot of straight forward rock tracks on here one in particular mixes his rock sound with his surreal lyrics so well, Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again. With lines like “Mona tried to tell me to stay away from the train line. She said that all the railroad men just drink up your blood like wine. An' I said, "Oh, I didn't know that, but then again, there's only one I've met an' he just smoked my eyelids an' punched my cigarette.", you can only giggle and say “oh I see what you did there Mr. Dylan” Another track which is more mellow and an almost close return to his folk sound is Visions of Johanna. This song is just covered in greatness. The lyrics are just pure poetry rich with metaphors I will probably never understand. The backing band is light in this one with light drums and tapping on cymbals with some quick guitar picking, but I don’t care about that if Dylan would of just read the lyrics out loud with nothing else I’d still want to marry this song. Its that great. Another great one is the 11 minute ballad Dylan wrote for his wife Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands. The drums on this one always reminds me of a typewriter, so when I hear it I imagine Bob in a dark hotel room smoking a cigarette and writing this song down. The album as a whole is great, its worth a listen to any who enjoys ****ing great music, hell if you like bad music you'll probably like something off this album.

Just post a picture of your boobs after each review. They'll respond to that.

Stop confusing me with your non-mainstream formatting choices!!!

Other than that, nice start, 'A Book Like This' has a nice blend to it, even if I ain't huge on the vocals. And Dylan speaks for itself...
