Worst album covers
 

I looked around and I don't think we have a thread specifically for posting the worst album covers you can think of. Clearly we need one because just yesterday I was reminded of one of the worst album covers I've ever seen. I mean honestly who looks at something like this and says "Yes! This is exactly what I want to be the public face of my new album!"?

IMO the band with the worst album covers ever is Birth Control. They're just plain disgusting.

Nothing sums up the state of prog in the late 70s better than the horrifying picture I'm about to show you.

The coming of the 80s was a time when every prog band had to reinvent themselves. Some like Yes and Genesis were successful at making the pop crossover... others were not so fortunate.

It's just so bland... making an album cover look dirty and affected doesn't do anything for me.

God, that Depeche Mode is awful. What the hell were they thinking?

And the the really terrible thing about the New Pornographers one is that it had some potential but wound up sucking. I mean I actually like the illustration but everything else: yuck.
