Out of those bands (that I've heard), I'm going to have to go with Alice In Chains.

I think one of the most depressing songs is "Where the Wild Rose Grows" by Nick Cave

if you think that that music is so depressing for you, why you listen??
I personally listen music to accept pleasure and to calm down if to me it is necessary

Because its nice sometimes to fuel your frustration.
Nothing better than a good old moan if you ask me

From that list I'll go with Death Cab for Cutie only because one of the most depressing love songs I've heard is Follow You Into The Dark (I love that song)

But i'm depressed or anything I have to listen to Love & Rockets
Their stuff is great for when i'm depressed or going through relationship problems or something. My favorite song by them is Fever

System of A Down's "Lonely Day" has got to be up there.

When I heard U2's "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" for the first time I thought this song made a statement.

Then, in the country music arena, there's other "dedication" or tribute songs like Darryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten".

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.
