Well don't be. Instead of landing in Chicago right now for Lollapalooza, I'm sitting in my cubicle trying to get in a few hours of work before I need to go home. Go and see Mogwai live. Immediately. One of the most intense live acts i've seen easily, made up for the torrential rain easily.

I am going to two festivals over our summer which both have a huge list of pretty good bands and I'm very much excited! Some bands (from both fesitvals) include:

Faith No More
Muse
The Mars Volta
Mastodon
Meshuggah
Isis
Jane's Addiction
Anti-flag
My Chemical Romance
Paramore
HIM
Alexisonfire
Trivium
Sunny Day Real Estate
Eagles of Death Metal
Reel Big Fish

...and lots more. I'm not keen on a few of the bands listed (guess which ones, ha) but still pretty pumped!

If anyone in New Zealand is familiar with this festival, well I'm going to it:

Rippon Open Air Festival 2010

Little Bushman, Minuit, The Mint Chicks, Fat Freddy's Drop, Iva Lamkum, Pacific Heights Live, The Black Seeds, Eru Dangerspiel, Opensouls, Electric Wire Hustle, The Slur-Tones.

I'm a bit anxious as I bought the ticket on a whim when I found out I'd be in the country, but I don't know anyone else who is going so I will be a bit of a loner, ha.

But I'm most excited about Fat Freddy's Drop and The Black Seeds!
