I think I agree with every word of your post Zero, we surely must be of a similar age?

I'm 24 now and I was 17 when American Idiot was released, but I was a fan of them for a few years before that.

Hence your username. Of course. Well yeah, I was 19. I liked Dookie and I was a big fan of American Idiot when it was released. I also never quite got away with their rest of their albums, even then. Especially Warning, ouch.

Zer0 03-14-2011 11:17 AM

The username kind of gave it away alright :D Yeah Warning was pretty sub-standard, even though it was my first Green Day album I still think it was their weakest.

I actually never liked Green Day at all until American Idiot. I never thought pop punk could pull of something like that, but they nailed it. I felt like I was one of the first few to give it a chance. Right around the millionth time I heard Boulevard of Broken Dreams I decided I was done with them.

So...I guess I'm with you guys.

Never have, or will, like Greenday.

Everybody should be honest. Personally I don't think most people have guts to be like that, but maybe I'm a pessimist.

I am honest. I can say that when I was 11, Good Charlotte were my favourite band. I have no shame.
