As funny as it may seem, Ray Lamontagne's cover of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy has gotten me through some rough times during my divorce. As played out as the original was, the lyrics are eerily accurate and this particular version hit very close to home:

I remember when
I remember I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space

And when you're out there
Without care
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Mmm!
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
probably

And I hope that you are having the time of your life
But think twice, that's my only advice

Mmmm
Come on now, who do you
Who do you, who do you, who do you think you are?
Ha ha ha, bless your soul
You really think you're in control?

Well,
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart to lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember is thinking, I wanna be like them

Mhmmmm
Ever since I was little, ever since I was little it looked like fun
And it's no coincidence I've come
And I can die when I'm done

But maybe I'm crazy
Maybe you're crazy
Maybe we're crazy
Probably

Ooh ooh

The Velvet Underground - Pale Blue Eyes.

Or Queen's "Love of My Life", but really only Brian's version at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert.

Honestly. I could not think of a worse song. You might as well run Miley Cyrus through a pair of iPod headphones at 130 decibels while juggling razor blades.
You missed the point
The girl I broke up with, we wish horrible deaths upon each other, I was just saying "she ****ing hates me" would be a fitting song..

Also post breakups songs aren't for sympathy or to make you feel better, they're there so you can wollow in self pitty and depression.

I did actually send this to an ex after we broke up when were 18 on cassette. She never replied the bitch.

Oddly they are on the bill next week when I go away. I hope I'm not too drunk if they play it!
