Most of us started out with average or less than average music so it's nothing to be embarassed about.
That being said I bet it was hanson.

Mine was a vinlyl double LP "Now this is music" part whatever. I still have it. Since I was like 12 and it was in the 80s it was full of that 80s Top 40 nonsense.

My first CD was Queen - The Works. What can I say? I still love that band and have bought all their albums over the years.
