Because it doesn't fit with the kind of music I usually go for.
Same with 'Torn'. It's inevitable that someones choices are going to be challenged because people have differing tastes.
I wouldn't have had you down for thinking this song was "awesome" for starters.
That's what this thread is about...digging up a few surprises and learning about one another's less obvious tastes.

Edit: and stop being so fucking abrasive.

I'll abrase you >;(

EDIT: I made it less abrasive, happy?

Also I find the notion of "fashionable" music to be pretty laughable, in an age where everyoen can have their tastes opened up by the internet, what is "good" and what isn't will always be subjective. But playing along:

Basshunter: Boten Anna (the lyrics are the grabber, his english versions are awful)

Marit Larsen: Under the Surface

What's this the British version of this thread...?

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

Yes! I secretly love Natalia Imbruglia... reminds me of school also.

Yeah I like that one too, though not nearly as much. It does bring back memories.

Oh and to clarify...when I said I loved Misunderstanding "and some of their other later stuff", I was just referring to other unfashionable songs from this era...but I'm an unashamed fan of their earlier albums and don't consider that stuff unfashionable.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I don't care if he is a complete twat, if I took that into consideration with music I would end up losing 50% of my music!

Such a great white boy soul/funk workout.

Perennial coffee table/after dinner party fave Sade. I think she has a brilliant voice and that bassline just does something to me. Bloody brilliant.

Well I was 10 when this came out so I can't help but be reminded of carefree summers and scraped knees from falling off my bike.

Guilty Pleasures you know are shit but like them anyway. This is more of a 'fuck that this rocks' thread.

My contribution:

Hole were badass, Live Through This particularly, ignore Courtney.
