Default New Releases

I thought it would be fantastic to know when new music is coming out. So if you have any release dates or recent releases of music you think we should check out, then post it. Unfortunately, I don't know a damn thing, but hopefully you guys are keeping up with what'll be good in 2005.

AUS-ROTTEN The Rotten Agenda LP [Skuld Releases (Germany)]
"At last, the third full length from Aus-Rotten; who have made quite an outstanding and long-lasting impact on the American anarcho-punk scene over the past decade, and will continue to do so even after their recent breakup. On the new LP, they continue the male / female vocals style as began when Adrienne joined them for their previous LP, but this time the two vocalist due a much more intense job working in unison, with several layers of vocals going at once, just like in classic Conflict days. The music is flat out powerful punk rock, but is way more energetic and gutsy than they last LP ("See what happens when you get a decent drummer" as one fellow PE member put it). The lyrics are 100% political, relevant, and angry as ****. The packaging is, of course, of the fold-out Crass-style poster sleeve with lyrics and art, but there is a second poster included, presumable for hanging on the wall (as with previous full lengths, the CD comes in the same packaging as the LP)." - $9.75 can be ordered through www.profaneexistence.com

Symphony In Peril - The Whore's Trophy

After the release of 2003's "Lost Memoirs And Faded Pictures", Symphony In Peril quickly took the scene by storm with their heavy and chaotic brand of metallic hardcore that instantly received comparisons to Norma Jean, Every Time I Die and Coalesce.

Symphony In Peril is now finished recording their sophomore album "The Whore's Trophy" and it will be released to the masses on Feb. 15, 2005. The new album is a metallic onslaught of apocalyptic proportions and has seen the band improve in every way possible. The music is heavier, more focused and perfectly structured. Themed and titled after a passage in Revelation 17, the lyrics and imagery of this record are as bold as they get!

The battle of Armageddon is near and "The Whore's Trophy" very well may be the soundtrack for it.
