I'm just not a fan. Never understood the appeal of them honestly.

Both are very tongue-in-cheek bands, I assure you. Alien Sex Fiend is actually one of my favorite bands. Here's a review I wrote about one of their albums if you're interested.

Make sure you follow the rules metonymy.

Out of Metonymy's
I've only listened to Porcupine Tree, and they were pretty good.

Out of yours, Charlemagne, I've only REALLY listened to Man Man. And I thought they were pretty damn good.

Ill Bill - War Is My Destiny (ft. Max Cavalera)
Street Sweeper Social Club - Mama Said Knock You Out (Cover)
The White Stripes - The Union Forever
Kate Nash - Dickhead
Aesop Rock - Battery
Red Hot Chili Peppers - I Should Have Lied
Tenacious D - Master Exploder
Atmosphere - Always Coming Back Home To You

The Smashing Pumpkins - Where Boys Fear To Tread
The Cool Kids - 88

Terrific selection that I got.
It was too hard to pick.

Of those I like Tenacious D (and Master Exploder's a sick song), RHCP, White Stripes, and some Aesop Rock. The rest I don't really care about.

Shining - Omen (Blackjazz)
Devin Townsend - Deep Peace (Terria)
The Reverend Horton Heat - Baddest Of The Bad (Holy Roller)
Watain - Kiss Of Death (Lawless Darkness)
Rage Against The Machine - Bombtrack (S/T)
Guns 'n' Roses - Out Ta Get Me (Appetite For Destruction)
Electric Wizard - Barbarian (Dopethrone)
The Reverend Horton Heat - Bath-Water Blues (Holy Roller)
Triptykon - My Pain (Eparistera Daimones)
Devin Townsend Project - Universe In A Ball! (Addicted)

Devin Townsend and RATM are occasionally pleasant listening. Don't like GnR, and I haven't listened to the rest. I've heard Electric Wizard is good though...

Calexico- 16 Track Scratch
Warren Zevon- Ain't That Pretty At All
Ben Fold Five- Regrets
Steel Pulse- Leggo Beast
Funkadelic- Cholly (Funk Getting Ready To Roll!)
Elvis Costello- Uncomplicated
Bruce Springsteen- Jackson Cage
John Coltrane- It's Easy To Remember
The Doors- Light My Fire
The Clash- Charlie Don't Surf

Oh, they are. They's my second favorite stoner doom band after Acid King. You should definitely check them out.
