Honestly, I don't know a lot from your list. The stuff I recognize is friendly-sounding indie stuff, and based on the names alone and stuff I know you listen to, I probably wouldn't like it. I'm usually not into friendly indie (though sometimes I get an urge).

The Clash - Clash City Rockers
Sonny Sharrock - Little Rock
Diamond Head - Streets of Gold
Belbury Poly - Unheimlich
Andrew Jackson Jihad - Randy's House
Anthrax - Hy Pro Glo
The Roots - You Got Me
Roy Montgomery - Escape Velocity
THEESatisfaction - I Nigress
Nebula - Beyond

Albert Ayler - The Truth Is Marching In

Moonlight on Vermont was one of the first Trout Mask Replica songs that I "got." Well that and Frownland. I'll have to check out Catherine Wheel since I keep hearing about em.

Naked City - The Prestidigitator
Death Grips - Lord of the Game (ft. Mexican Girl)
Henry Threadgill - he didn't give up/he was taken
Sun Ra - Daddy's Gonna Tell You No Lie
Bill Orcutt - Communique
Steve Lacy - Work
Frank Zappa & Captain Beefheart - The Man With The Woman Head
John Zorn - Enfant
The Vandermark Five - That Was Now (for the Volcano Suns)
Yat-Kha - Kargyram

I've been meaning to check out that collaboration album between Frank and the old Capp'n. Don't dislike anything there. Shuffling just my phone:

The Flaming Lips - A Spoonful Weighs a Ton
Talk Talk - Desire
Big Black - Big Money
Valaida Snow - Whisper Sweet
Chet Baker - My Funny Valentine
Cleoma Falcon - They Stole My Sled
Sonic Youth - Death to Our Friends
Panda Bear - Ponytail
Josef Hassid - Elgar - La Capricieuse, Op.17
The Smiths - Pretty Girls Make Graves

a little dense on the pop, but that's to be expected - my phone mainly gets my favorite stuff to listen to when i am in people's cars or generally on-the-go

Some good stuff there, like Earth Crisis and that 1000 Homo Djs tune. Never heard of Fire+Ice before... I detect a strong Dead Can Dance influence. That Nancy Sinatra song belongs in Quentin Tarantino's next film.

Winter Rose - The Bees
Signed, Sealed, Delivered - Stevie Wonder
Holding Back - Tensnake
Rang Tang Ding Dong (I am the Japanese Sandman) - The Cellos
Black Sheep - Martin Sexton
Don't Stop Your Love - Keith Sweat
Smash It Up, Parts 1 & 2 - The Damned
Visions - The Internet
Lose Yourself in Me - The Beloved
Distant Lover - Marvin Gaye
