BTown 08-30-2009 08:28 PM

1864 songs
8 gig.

Grotesque Head 08-30-2009 08:31 PM

Only had this computer for a couple of months, so I'm still slowly adding to my library - but it currently stands at:

Songs: 3,579
Days: 13.2
GB: 25.77

Terrible Lizard 08-30-2009 08:43 PM

14,279 songs
47 days
but that's not including all the **** I've been too lazy to upload.

Seltzer 08-30-2009 08:54 PM

I have enough music to tide me over during the next ice age... yet I still want more.

sidewinder 08-30-2009 09:10 PM

27746 songs
80.7 days
184.03 GB

I have some stuff digital-only (maybe 1/4 max of what's on my PC) but also I estimate that half of my CD collection is not ripped.

storymilo 08-30-2009 09:14 PM

35.59 GB, 22.7 days. And a small amount on vinyl thats not on my computer

LoathsomePete 08-30-2009 09:14 PM

I'm currently sitting at 136 GB with 62 days of music. I need to upgrade my hard drive soon because there's only 3 gigs of room left on my D Drive... probably should've done that today but I think I accomplished a lot.

Janszoon 08-30-2009 09:56 PM

17778 songs
50.2 days
82.12 GB

NSW 08-30-2009 10:04 PM

sweet_nothing 08-30-2009 10:06 PM

40.82 GB, 636 Albums, 7184 Items, 19.9 Days

zeppy111 08-30-2009 10:23 PM

37.04 gb

Darkest Hour 08-30-2009 10:41 PM

Too much diversity. I have about 400 songs and that is it. I barely listen to half of them.

knj27 08-30-2009 11:17 PM

2,008 at the moment which according to the computer comes out to 5 1/2 days.

I don't totally understand how people have 20,000+ songs in their library...

Antonio 08-31-2009 12:03 AM

about 45 gigs
7411 songs
20 days of music

Kirby 08-31-2009 12:11 AM

13,150 Files.
67.8 Gig
786:49:14

~32 Days

Why not? I just checked my iTunes and that's actually only 285 albums, much lower than I thought it would be. So it's a much smaller percentage of my CD collection than I imagined, especially considering a quarter of those are digital-only.

Astronomer 08-31-2009 01:40 AM

15.43 GB or 7 days...

Unfortunately I'm oldschool and have most of my music on CDs...

dnbDreamz 08-31-2009 03:41 AM

117gb still recovering music from when my last hard drive blew up :(

NumberNineDream 08-31-2009 09:48 AM

41.5 Gb of music, but not all are on my iTunes, so it would not become chaotic, with unknown artists and albums.

on iTunes:
3104 songs
254 albums
8.1 days
20.12 Gb

Only 400 songs?!

I sure hope you have a hell of a lot of vinyl and CD's not burned to your computer!

drewtown 08-31-2009 05:03 PM

1 week, 1 day. I can play my music, leave for a week on vacation come back and have it play for a day still....nice.

The Monkey 08-31-2009 05:31 PM

6546 songs
17 days and 4 hours
34,11 GB

I was mistaken, I thought that number seemed off. It's actually 2627 albums I have in my iTunes, granted there may be a dozen singles. I must have had a specific genre selected when I looked last time. NumberNineDream's post at the top of the page made me suspicious.

Guybrush 09-01-2009 06:42 AM

My collection is large, but even better is that it's perfectly organized. If you added up the hours I've spent working on it, it would probably be days of finding information on albums/artists, downloading art, careful naming and moving stuff around ..

Of course I have a backup of my collection on an external HD just in case something ever happens to it.

music_phantom13 09-01-2009 10:50 AM

A lot. 46.7 days, 75.33 GBs. Plus I have some music on vinyl that isn't ripped and more that needs to be added to iTunes; I'm just lazy.

Unrelenting 09-01-2009 03:29 PM

Right now, 5.41 GB. I'm slacking in music apparently

jackhammer 09-01-2009 04:07 PM

Just under 300gb. Doesn't make me cool or anything. Just a little sad. Days? Haven't got a clue as I don't work like that.

Unrelenting 09-01-2009 04:10 PM

I hate people who judge their coolness on how much music they own. Though sometimes, I find myself guilty in that aspect

FETCHER. 09-01-2009 04:11 PM

on my old computer i have:
2327 songs
6.7 days
9.61 gb

i have millions of cds i deleted off itunes as the genre of music i listen to changed

on this i have a pathetic:
228 songs
15:23:06 total time
1.59 gb

not bad for having it 2 1/2 weeks :)

20,000 songs on 285 albums would be 70 songs on each album...

Especially when talking about digital libraries. Anyone can download stuff these days. Takes a lot more effort to build up a good physical library. But even that, try as I might, doesn't make me cool. :p:

Delira 09-02-2009 01:25 PM

1717 songs - 109 hours so it says on my WMP.

That's only around 2000 albums.

I have well over double that. Is it to show off? No it's just i've been finding music for over 20 years.

Freebase Dali 09-02-2009 05:01 PM

My music collection is embarrassing.
Like... 2 inch penis embarrassing.

Freebase, from what I have gleaned from your posts you are a dwarf who does not listen to music made by others. Am I close?

OK here goes: You're short, know a lot about musical equipment, produce your own music, and listen to a small amount of music that you did not make yourself. Warmer?

EDIT: My computer has: 24.33 gigs, 5101 songs, 13.2 days. But I constantly delete and add music to both my computer and MP3 player (30 GB, always maxed). I have about 900 CDs, about 75 records, about 30 GB of MP3s on an external hard drive, and a few old cassettes.

Warmer, but not an impressive glean.
- I'm 5' 8", and I guess that could be considered short, depending on your perspective. I think that's around average though. I could be mistaken.

- Yea on the equipment and production.

- I have a moderate amount of albums in CD form, most of which I've tired of. My computer's music collection is only 22.5 GB, most of which I've tired of, although admittedly it's not large enough of a collection in either medium to keep things interesting... But I love what I have and I have a lot of history with it all, but it's more like an old marriage that has some sparks flying every once in a while.

- I like music and a lot of different artists. I just don't care to listen to it 24 hours a day. I was different when I was younger, but collecting and listening music just eventually became less of a priority. I don't want to say it's on the back burner all the time. It's kind of a spurt thing with me now. I'm by no means consistent in my musical endeavors whether it's my own or someone else's, and I really don't feel bad about it.
