Love this thread!!
I admit that "Nowhere fast" from "Street of Fire" film 1984 is another superb song. |
Oh a whole bunch. Tears of Fears - Everybody Wants to rule the world
is one of it. Pet shop boys - West End Girl is another. 70's music through 90's music are all good. I'm surprised that 80's and 90's are old music like 70's and below music are. Its hard to beleive. |
not nearly enough Duran Duran in this thread.

Everything by swans in the 80's
|
I'm more of a '90s Alternative kind of guy (in fact I turned 13 in 1990 and that is really when I started listening to music, like as a teen and stuff). However here are some tunes from the '80s I do like and vaguely remember from that era:
Never cared that much for R.E.M., but I do like this tune: Classic Dinosaur Jr., right here: I was a little too young to have heard of the Smiths when they were together, but I certainly remember Moz as a solo singer and he is one of my faves! Jesus and Mary Chain? I remember them being really popular back then and I always wondered what the heck the name meant, it sort of stuck out. |
tons:-
Up the Hill and Down the Slope - The Loft Here Comes a Regular - The Replacements You Trip Me Up - JAMC Tower of London - ABC Don't You Want Me - Human League New Moon on Monday - Duran Duran Let the Music Play - Shannon Lucky Star - Madonna Genetic Engineering - OMD Somebody - Depeche Mode Relax - Frankie Goes to Hollywood Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You) - A Flock of Seagulls Magic - The Cars Naive Melody (This Must be the Place) - Talking Heads Cemetery Gates - The Smiths I'm On Fire - Bruce Sprinsgsteen Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield Jack and Diane - John Cougar It Must be Love - Madness Life's What You Make It - Talk Talk Assassing - Marillion Powerslave - Iron Maiden Rough Boy - ZZ Top getting a bit tired to list them all out - suffice to say I love the 80s |
