I just posted this in the best of 2009 thread in the Electronica forums, and after listening to a it a few times on there I realized I had to put it in this thread too.
To hear the part I think is a hair-raiser go to about 2:30 in the song to get a feel for it. Around 2:50 it starts to build up rapidly, and then at 3:00 it comes back around with a massive beat behind it. :D Technoboy - 4 Days |

^Hadn't heard that 1st one. I really dug that a lot.
Second one was decent as well, not sure if it was something I'd call a hair-raiser, but not bad either! |
It took me forever to find this song on the internet, sorry no video, just audio. There's a video on youtube but the recording is weak. Vision Of Rassan: Dedication / Roll On Kirk by Eric Burdon & war. The piano is beautiful. Plus the fact that it is a dedication to Rahsaan Roland Kirk, most incredible sax player ever makes this song even more meaningful. The intro gets to me. Specially right after 36 seconds into it.

Most beautiful songs you have ever heard
What are the most beautiful songs you have ever heard? When I say most beautiful it can also mean most beautiful message, or most beautiful melody, or whatever you want. Just tell me what are the most beautiful songs you have ever heard

Good god. It gives me shivers. |
...there's more i just can't be bothered posting them right now tbh. |
for me it's gotta be Lacrimosa in Mozart's Requiem. Man the song just gives me the chills. Or maybe Cosmia by Joanna Newsom. Whenever I hear that song I feel like I'm in an enchanted forest.
