In all fairness there's far worse bands out there than Green Day. How about all the countless, disposable, watered-down pop-punk bands that emerged in their wake? There were plenty of them around at the start of the decade.

What do you find so bad about Green Day's music. Personally I enjoy most of it so I'd like to know why you think it's so overrated.

Early Green Day really isn't that bad in my opinion, like this song:

Nowadays though Green Day are a bunch of ****ing flamers. Dress like them too.

its just garbage my man, and i hate the message, yeah yeah screw the american government, whatever I tune that out completely, on a side note, if you hate the american government, do something about it, don't just write songs about it (doesn't apply to me, i don't care about the government :))

In my opinion Green Day would have been much more respected if they called it quits around Nimrod.

Nah man American Idiot was actually a decent album. Just take Warning out of their catalog and then have them stop making music after Idiot.

I saw Converge open at a show a couple days ago, one of the worst things I've heard in awhile.

And this Brokencyde "crunk" bull****. Atrocious.
