NME?Essentially it's a music magazine for posers and despite some of those albums actually being reasonably good, the list is still awful.

This list is shameful...no Grizzly Bear? And The Coral is on there...wow. EPIC fail. I'm counting down the days till NME ceases to exist.

They put the Yeah Yeah Yeahs above PJ Harvey. That's insanity.

Well Karen O was their poster girl for about 4 years, so you shouldn't be that surprised they're so high.

Screw Grizzly Bear, no AC? I'm still scratching my head about that one... is it just not the type of music NME likes? I don't understand how any critic could make a top of the decade list and not include a single album by them, without even looking at NME's abomination.

This list is far more horrible than you guys realize. Where's the jazz, the electronic, the Americana, the folk, the good hip-hop, the prog., the experimental shit that's so good that you can't even categorize it?

Seriously, lists like these are just fucking disgraceful.

You're right. I'm a big electronic and prog fan, and didn't even think about it. I'm just so used that stuff never showing up on "popular" lists. I'd love to see a completely non-biased, non-genre-specific list. Despite there being good stuff on the list, all of it's related to the mainstream "indie" scene.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Bah you know what I mean. I hope. Well known, on the fringes of mainstream. And yeah she's indie rock.
