Default Who Listens to the Radio Anymore?

I make close to $100K a year from my music and wanted to ask everyone on here if I should even bother fighting to get my music onto the radio. Does anyone listen to radio anymore? Or better question, do people who really appreciate music listen to the radio anymore?

If doing Elton John covers on the cruise ship is earning you that kind of dough I say why worry.

I've been subscribed to Sirius radio for 2+ years now. With my job I'm driving around 3-4 hours a day usually and it's on full time. Tons of channels ranging from metal to electro to classical and everything else with no commercials...its great.

I've actually discovered a suprising amount of new artists I like on there, and bought their cd's, so it might be something you wanna consider, idk. I actually know quite a few other people who have it as well. /shrug

Sorry to disappoint, yet again, but I don't play in bars either. I don't know if you could make $100K in bars, anyway. Casinos, maybe. But I've never played in a casino before and I don't plan on changing that one...

If it's not college radio or NPR, it's owned by Clear Channel. What's the use in listening to programming that's the result of a focus group?

That's how I feel! Is that how most music appreciators feel as well? I was thinking of pushing my music to College radio and leaving it at that.
