Mostly looking forward to a new album by Tokyo Police club, hopefully they can finally go really big soon. Also, I need a new Arcade Fire album; it's torture how long its been since Neon Bible came out.

Heh, it's funny how little agreement there is on QOTSA albums.

this sentiment is what makes them one of the legitimately GREAT bands out there right now. coupled with the fact that most fans can be civil while discussing their favourite albums is indicative of the kind of people the band appeals to. it's great stuff all around.

i don't consider Lullabies to be a 'bad' album per se, but it's my least favourite of the band's offerings by a significant amount.

the S/T re-release is also finally supposed to happen later this year. it's been in talks since about 2004. legalities are awesome.:banghead:

So the sound is changing but stale at the same time? Arrrrr...

This.

 I feel so alone- my musical tastes and those of everyone else who has posted in this thread are so different!

I'm super-excited for Hanson's new album, and then Christina Aguilera's new album (both in June). I can't decide if the Amazon 14-track album is worth the extra $6 or so for Jason Castro's album, but I'd like that. Miranda Cosgrove's album (she plays Carly on iCarly), and then the Tangled or Rapunzel or whatever they end up calling it soundtrack. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I'm kinda dreading the whole evolution of Miranda Cosgrove into a recording artist... I am getting tired of kids from TV shows dominating the charts where there is far more worthy singer / songwriters out there found wanting for air time...

yeah, it's a bit depressing that people like Kesha can make one song that generates more revenue and fame than a band who spends their entire career producing great albums that don't necessary appeal to the mass public.

Agreed, now and forever, 100%

I don't have a problem with the Miley's, Tisdale's, and Cosgrove's of the world being successful. They appeal to children who like their respective shows. I'm ok with children enjoying harmless pop music, and it doesn't bother me seeing that on the charts. Ke$ha is a different level of **** that I don't think is fair to lump in with these others...

Does anyone know when Damien Rice is planning on releasing a new album? It's been 4 years since his last one.. would've thought he was ready for releasing a new album pretty soon.
