Ugh what is this? They totally stole a riff off some sugar ray song and somehow made it worse. They probably got government support for being a Maori band. Nice one.

Er... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Sugar Ray's mainstream breakthrough occurred two years after "How Bizarre" was released.


Of course that still doesn't make it a good song.

I grew up in a christian home and went to christian private schools all my life. When I was in like Jr. High and my early High School years this song was pretty much the biggest song ever among those crowds, and DC talk was bigger than the Beatles ever were. Every single person I knew had this CD, including myself...was sooo cool back then.

I went back and listened to it a year or so ago though, and yeah, I DEFINITELY cringed. ><
