Even though this album is legendary, I just can't make myself put this up there in my top slots because of Jessi Colter. The woman didn't earn her position on this album because she was a good singer, I will assure you. Being Waylon Jennings' girlfriend didn't hurt her opportunites in the business, thats for damn sure.

I'd agree with Btown and say Doolittle. I prefer Surfer Rosa, as Doolittle sounds more like a greatest hits compilation or something... it just doesn't flow quite as well together.

Some that come extremely close:

Finding Beauty in the Wretched - Dirty Elegance because out of 18 songs, there's only 2 that don't deserve the 5 star rank from me.

The Mars Volta- Frances the Mute.
Song by song it's perfect and their best album. However there is something about De-Loused that makes me love it more despite all of its flaws. Some sort of magic.

Frank Zappa- Hot Rats
Oh Christ it's whimsical. It's like a ****ing disney movie made love to Charles Mingus and an electric guitar.

That's all really, but I'm always looking to change that.

I think I'd pick Dirt over this, not just because its more mainstream but because I truly think Dirt is a better album. Still cool to see Alice In Chains of any kind in here.
