yes, fine Dave Gilmour was a genius...but Roger Waters was..uuhhh... not even worth explaining to you why he is better, if you don't already know, you dont appreciate his musical or lyrical songwriting abilites enough to know that Dave Gilmour played what he was told alot of the time...

Urban Hat€monger ? 02-05-2005 07:41 PM

So what were on all those Chuck Berry & Elvis records then?

Sneer 02-06-2005 03:07 PM

the stone roses were very influential i think
also, mudhoney for in my view, starting grunge, the white stripes for spawning this new wave of garage rock, and a band who i think were influential in that they harboured 3 of the greatest guitarists of all time (who in their own right were influential)- the yardbirds.

Rock music, not rock 'n' roll. Berry and Elvis were Rock 'n' Roll . Were there any famous Elvis riffs?

LedZepStu The Yardbirds were good but I think Page did wonderful things in Zeppelin, and Clapton did wonders in Cream and as a solo. Beck as a solo artist is amazing.
