That hasn't been suggested, and thank you for sharing your enthusiasm. It does seem like a really good idea, though I have to discuss it with my fellow Music Club helpers.

Cool, I'll put some thought into it. I'll see about checking out the Bikini Kill album too.

As a side note, the way we selected albums on the other forum was that initially had individual threads where all members picked their favorite album for each year from like 1955 to the present or something. Each week we had one of these threads. And at the end we decided to do a listening club, and albums were selected each week at random from the pool of yearly favorites. It's a huge list. But I think the way you're doing it is good too...obviously I'm not suggesting the other method, just mentioning it. Could be nice too rather than having a new list of submissions each week, to just keep the pool going, keep adding to it and selecting at random. Though that would mean each week the chances of your album being picked would be reduced, but each person could submit a new one each week to add to the pool. Again if your current plan works then keep it the way it is. Just throwing out some input in case you decide to modify anything in the future.

I though we'd let some of the "underrated" or unknown albums to get on the list, so with voted favourites not much of those get on the list.
Now, I'm keeping all the once suggested albums on my original list, in case we decided to modify or change anything. And that idea does seem very interesting, maybe we can use it in some way...

Ah that's a good point about unknown albums, though with our eclectic group it could very well be that someone's favorite album of a certain year is generally obscure. Still, I like your current method of acquiring, which isn't based on anything other than what people think others should check out.

That's what I do. Notice my join date and my post count. When I'm on, I consistently post.

Concerning Bikini Kill:

I was pleasantly surprised, I was expecting a cacophony. It was digestable on first listen, which is a compliment since I usually don't like the hardcore. Her voice is abrasive in a good way, though the way she yells things makes understanding the lyrics tougher. So it all kind of blended into one big yelp.

The problem with this sort of music is that it all feels very samey.

^ I guess that's why it's only 27 minutes long.
