Theres a rock station here in Columbia that plays a lot of newer so called rock stuff I hate but they usually always have 90's weekends which is the best.

Besides that ALOT of pop country stations, the main pop station, and a bunch of rap stations that I just cant listen to because most of the time its commercials hollering about clubs.

Usually I refrain from any radio... but sometimes I get the urge.

i don't like anything on the radio here except the "into the pit" program on the co-op station. which is only about an hour a week. the rest is other music (mostly folk, reggae, world), public issues, arts, and foriegn language programming.

Australia has a great nation wide youth radio station called Tripple J, it's government funded so no adds and generally focuses on upcoming Australian talent which is sometimes shaky, but also the larger underground (or at least beneath mainstream pop music) acts from overseas like Bon Iver, Tv on the Radio, The Mars Volta, Animal Collective etc...

Also my town has a community radio station, which is a hive of bad music but I love listening anyway because of the weird things you will hear, and also the staggering incompetence of the presenters. The other day there was a series of Christian rock covers, the highlight being I Love Rock and Roll becoming I Love Apostle Paul.

But there is one hour on Mondays I discovered with an Irish guy I used to play soccer with who has a pretty mad taste in music.

Used to have XFM but I think it's Nation Radio now. Probably the only decent one we've got.

My mate works for radio Tircoed which is a really small station but when he presents it at 12 midnight till 2 on a Thursday you can't go wrong.

I'm sure there are some decent college stations here in Philly but I basically never listen to the radio.

I'm from Kitchener, and the radio here is slightly better than where I'm originally from, but for every good song they play, there are still three Nickelback clones vomiting into my ears, so I don't listen to the radio much.

Usually only in the car, but I started carrying my CD collection with me (well, most of it anyway) so that I don't ever have to listen to the radio.
