That is just inexcusable.

In their defense I wanted to forget who Paul Mccartney was after hearing SAY SAY SAY.

Let's not forget Hey Jude. Worst. Song. Ever.

Yes. Thats right. There is no song worse than Hey Jude. No Song. I would rather listen to anything else.

blastingas10 02-13-2012 01:00 PM

Paul kicked ass there at the end. LL Cool J said "The love you get is equal to the love you make". **** you, dumb ass, it's "the love you take", get it right.

Nice to see we agree for once. You know, this could be the turning point in our relationship ;)

McCartney was good. The drummer excelled.

Adele also nailed it. I think her voice is better than it was in the months before surgery. That said, I'm not sure she deserved to win anything.

Im glad she won best album, considering who she was up against. She's better than that nasty whore, Rhianna.

Bon Iver is nothing. He has no skills like J Cole. J Cole made some great rap music and he did not get respected for that. That is pure stupidity.

Somehow, I doubt you've actually heard any of Justin Vernon's work.

Actually I have somewhat. I don't think it has anything special like J Cole.

To each their own, but I really dislike the way you phrase your opinions.

What exactly have you heard by Bon Iver that makes you form that opinion?

I did a double take also. I think its the Tom Clancy guy.

Dave Grohl's acceptance speech was horrendous just saying. He came off very pretentious.

Goofle 02-13-2012 04:02 PM

Yeah, its Tom.

FETCHER. 02-13-2012 04:12 PM

I will keep calling you Clancy, Clancy.

Goofle 02-13-2012 04:26 PM

No worries pet :)

I don't know a Tom, and if you're telling me you used to be "Tom" please just lie to me and tell me you didn't change your name to Goofle11, as if to say goofle1-10 was taken.

Bon Iver is a total piece of crud, worshipped by indie hipsters cos he's quirky

i got "For Emma" and it was the biggest piece of whale dreck I've ever heard, i even think Nickelback is better than him

I'd substitute J Cole with Cheryl Cole, though

TheBig3 02-14-2012 07:11 AM

I assume you're embellishing for sarcasm.

Howard the Duck 02-14-2012 07:12 AM

^^nope I'm being serious

Bon Iver is put in the same category as the Fleet Foxes

that's like putting Las Ketchups on the same level as the Beatles

Goofle 02-14-2012 07:20 AM

I wouldn't go that far, but Bon Iver has always bored me.

Howard the Duck 02-14-2012 07:35 AM

he doesn't just "bore" me, he is insanely irritating to me

whatever rustic fa-la-la Neo-Bohemian bullshit he's going for doesn't stick with me

TheBig3 02-14-2012 07:39 AM

Is there any fa-la-la Neo-Boehmian bull**** you like? I mean its a big genre to dismiss it so casually.

Howard the Duck 02-14-2012 07:41 AM

see the aforementioned Fleet Foxes

that's Neo-Bohemian stuff I love

lemme put it this way:-

Fleet Foxes can craft songs

Bon Iver can't even craft a Lego kit for kids 5 and under

MoonlitSunshine 02-14-2012 08:31 AM

That's a little harsh. I'm not a huge fan of this kind of music, and I still managed to listen through a whole album of Bon Iver's stuff without getting so bored that I had to change it. It is very dirgy, laid back and er... mellow, but it's not as bad as you're making it out to be, and it requires a fair bit more musical skill than the rest of the nominations did. That which I've heard by the Fleet Foxes is better, or at least, more to my taste, but you can't say someone is **** just because they're not as good as your favourite band within a genre.

That's pretty much what I said in the review thread for the second Bon Iver album or for the 2nd Fleet Foxes album (I've forgotten which).

i'm saying he's not good on any kind of level

there are no tunes as such, and when I put "For Emma" on, I want to throw my speakers at the wall

Paedantic Basterd 02-14-2012 08:57 AM

Helplessness Blues was a dull album.

Someone has to stick up for Justin Vernon. :(
