^^nope I'm being serious

Bon Iver is put in the same category as the Fleet Foxes

that's like putting Las Ketchups on the same level as the Beatles

I wouldn't go that far, but Bon Iver has always bored me.

he doesn't just "bore" me, he is insanely irritating to me

whatever rustic fa-la-la Neo-Bohemian bullshit he's going for doesn't stick with me

Is there any fa-la-la Neo-Boehmian bull**** you like? I mean its a big genre to dismiss it so casually.

see the aforementioned Fleet Foxes

that's Neo-Bohemian stuff I love

lemme put it this way:-

Fleet Foxes can craft songs

Bon Iver can't even craft a Lego kit for kids 5 and under

That's a little harsh. I'm not a huge fan of this kind of music, and I still managed to listen through a whole album of Bon Iver's stuff without getting so bored that I had to change it. It is very dirgy, laid back and er... mellow, but it's not as bad as you're making it out to be, and it requires a fair bit more musical skill than the rest of the nominations did. That which I've heard by the Fleet Foxes is better, or at least, more to my taste, but you can't say someone is **** just because they're not as good as your favourite band within a genre.

That's pretty much what I said in the review thread for the second Bon Iver album or for the 2nd Fleet Foxes album (I've forgotten which).

i am not saying that he's only just not as good as the Fleet Foxes

i'm saying he's not good on any kind of level

there are no tunes as such, and when I put "For Emma" on, I want to throw my speakers at the wall

Helplessness Blues was a dull album.

Someone has to stick up for Justin Vernon.
