pfft. You just proved.."yes opinions can be wrong!" Those two albums do anything but "suck" they don't have to be your thing..but suck?

I hate Nirvana..but would never say Nevermind sucked...

Classics to you. I didn't like either one when it came out and continue to not like them. But why should the sum of both of our tastes be tied up in just two albums? That seems really limited. If I remember correctly there are actually a number of albums out there you and I do agree on.

Huh? In my opinion those two albums suck. What do you want from me?

I don't want anything. When you say they suck it's a tad harsh. And wrong.
Saying ''meh, I know a lot of people like those, they are just not my thing" would have not got my back up.
but even if you did say ''meh, I know a lot of people like those, they are just not my thing"

my reply would be .."hurry home and crank that Kenny G and have a warm bath partner!"

It's wrong to say an album sucks when you think it sucks? Fascinating.

I'm sure there is plenty of good music around now.

But truth be told i'm bored or having to look for it so hard.

There's always been plenty of bad music around but with music now so easy to record & put online I feel as though there's 10 times as much **** out there than there was even 5 years ago.

I don't care what anybody says mainstream music has got worse now that only 4 record companies basically control everything in it. And those 4 companies have no real reason to risk or take a chance on, Nobody else stands a chance of breaking through and lets face it there very little in the way of independents that look like they can even give those 4 a run for their money.

Quite honestly i'm bored of having to wade through endless crap to find something good. I've been buying to music over 20 years and I don't think it's ever been as difficult as it is now to find something either good or original.

To be honest i'm having more fun looking back than I am looking forward. That's not me dissing all today's music, that's just the truth of how I feel right now.

Badmotorfinger is not a classic to me, it's just a classic. I don't even listen to Soundgarden.

Yes, there is plenty we can agree on, and I'm sure you could make some excellent recommendations of modern bands that I would like. But I would argue that I would be more likely to like a band you recommend from the 80s/90s that has something in common with one of the bands I already like...

I'm not sure I understand your meaning. In what sense is it a classic to you if you don't even like to listen to it?

Could be. I'm not making the argument that today's music is better than 80s or 90s music, I'm just saying it's not worse.

No guess not, it just means you have poor taste... Nothing you can do about that.

It's a classic. I don't know what is so difficult to understand. I don't listen to Radiohead, but I realize OK Computer is a classic...
