Song Placements in TV and Film?

I'm just starting to look into getting songs licensed for TV and Film. What is the best way for an independent artists to start finding song placements success getting songs placed in stuff like that?

Are there any parties that I can attend that the music industry puts on for song placements ideas and help?

There is no best way to find song placements in the music industry. Success is something that does not happen to everyone. Keep writing, recording and building your relationships.

I think ASCAP puts on events that center around TV and Film. You should check out their site and find out when they have one in your area.
