I have been wanting to get into Dr. Feelgood for a while.

To be fair I could do a few similar lists

1. Acid
2. Le Peuple De l'herbe
3. James Hardway
4. Death In June
5. Saracen

Their debut album Down By The Jetty is essential listening.

Especially the 40 track special edition.

They were the band that never was as far as I can ascertain. Much appreciated.

It was a hard list to make I left out several female post punk bands as well, but those are tops. I might replace Crass with Lilliput though. I never really listened to a lot of Siouxsie, maybe I should get on that

Yeah punk kind of killed off their momentum. They were considered yesterdays news just a year after their debut came out.
Which is a shame because it's full of fast paced r&b much in the same vein as the New York Dolls only with a few more nods to the past and better musicianship.

It's cliched but the debut 'The Scream' is essential. Love that album. As good as Joy division in it's own way.

I love that song to bits.
Nobody ever mentions it when they talk about Low, at least in my experience. The whole album is brilliant but that's definitely my favorite song off of it.
