I only have these songs on my iPod so I guess that makes me a failure but I'm ok with that.

I could rename this thread to the slightly more PC "100 Songs I'd Like You to Have on your iPod or your iPod is Conceivably Deficient". Or perhaps "The MB Unleash Your Anger and Spew Forth Vitriol Thread"?

Either way I'm focusing on the positives. This thread has reminded me to get some Robert Johnson and Kris Kristofferson.

According to my calculations, this means the average prog song is 42 hours and 50 minutes. Nice.

I tried to buy a CD the other day from a rasta stand and I actually bartered with the guy over 5 dollars. ... it was depressing.
Those things have so many problematic issues with them it's a wonder that Microsoft ever made money on them. My 5th-gen iPod is still going strong after five years and I see no reason to ever upgrade it.

Bolded are the one's I've got, although I honestly haven't listened to those tracks in a long time, if ever, save Giant Steps, Pump it Up and Find the River.

Even though I do own a significant number of those, not a single one is loaded on my iPod at the moment. I guess it's crap then. Man, I'm such a loser for having a constantly evolving taste in music.

The topic in hand is tracks we should have on 'our IPOD' and not our PC based media player ( which should play every file known to man if we play that way).

What you are saying is that I should have those files on my player and if I dare to counteract it I am out of order?

I like to move with the times and think progressively. Just because I don't agree with a personal list doesn't mean I am rocking the boat.

I do apologise for listening to music that doesn't fit into the cliche that my age suggests.

When I suggest songs and albums that people half my age haven't even heard of, then I think I should at least be given a little respect for suggesting my choices or should I just conform to please everyone?

The fuck are you on about?

Unless I'm deeply mistaken, this thread is just a list of songs this guy likes. You can continue playing this role if you want, it's not winning you anything.

Just to clarify I have ZERO of those songs on my iPod.
