"Rise my friend - march to war!" Perfect song to listen when you're off to class.

3. Marduk - Imago Mortis

4. Marduk - Cloven Hoof

5. Rammstein - Mein Herz Brennt

Nice list. Especially the last three. :3

1. Angelspit - As It Is In Heaven
Besides being one of the only Angelspit songs that features -singing-, it's also one of the most enchanting. And creepy.

2. Dog Fashion Disco - Dead Virgins Don't Sing

3. KMFDM - Money

4. Emilie Autumn - A Strange Device

5. Pin-Up Went Down - Nearly Dead Bat Make-Up

Public Enemy 07-01-2010 06:46 PM

How you like me now by The Heavy
List of Demands by Saul Williams
Cold and Ugly by Tool
Die For You by Pennywise
Tall Cans in the Air by The Transplants

2. Plus Ones-Okkervil River

3. Storm-Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Cut into three youtube videos due to length:

4. Jesus Christ-Brand New

5. Holland, 1945-Neutral Milk Hotel

By no means my 'favorite songs'. Just tracks that overflow with musical/lyrical talent.

:thumb: I've got all of them, Fasho.

To be fair I push "The Glitterhouse" and "Monkey Banana Kitchen" on everyone ever. And the others are pretty common

I don't know why they have Falco though

also, Half a Person is probably one of the ****tiest Smiths songs ever,
like in the order of

1. Cemetry Gates
2. Boy With the Thorn in His Side
3. Half a Person

FaSho 07-01-2010 09:06 PM

Wow. Half A Person and Cemetary Gates are in my Top 10.

Sansa Stark 07-01-2010 09:16 PM

You have **** taste.

Air 07-01-2010 09:35 PM

Out of this whole thread, the only song I have is the Peter Gabriel one,
I feel pathetic.

Charlemagne 07-01-2010 10:38 PM

Hmm...

Tegan and Sara- Living Room
The Mountain Goats- The Best Ever Death Metal Band In Denton
The Hold Steady- Stuck Between Stations
The National- Slow Show
Jason Anderson- July 4, 2004

A lot of you guys should have most of these. However, you guys NEED the last one. Especially the version off of Tonight. (In my honest opinion)

homesick.alien 07-09-2010 03:43 AM

My list:

Radiohead- I Might Be Wrong (for that riff)

John Lee Hooker- Boom Boom (bonus points if you have The Yardbird's cover too)

Nick Drake- Time Of No Reply (just 'cause the lyrics are so goddamn beautiful)

King Crimson- Starless and Bible Black

Jeff Buckley- Morning Theft (everyone needs to hear his voice at least once)

Alex/ 07-09-2010 04:09 AM

"Wish You Were Here", by Pink Floyd
"Drive", by Incubus
"Plush (Acoustic)", by Stone Temple Pilots
"Blow Up the Outside World", by Soundgarden
"No Rain", by Blind Melon

:(

I think the Boy with the Thorn in his Side is Morrissey in his finest moment... there's nothing more candid than those lyrics and that vocal 'solo'.

Gate 49 07-11-2010 12:44 AM

Fireworks- Siouxsie and the Banshees
I Know its Over-The Smiths
ADHD-Blood Red Shoes
The Hope That House Built-Future of the Left
Whiskey Man-The Who

Pretty mainstream, but I reckon they would be a fine addition to any ipod
