Default Summertime Playlist

Hey everyone, it's almost midnight over in Seattle right now, and I'd been listening to some of my mellow indie and hip hop all day, on shuffle. It's been raining all day since noon. All of a sudden, Atmosphere's "Sunshine" came on, and I was elated. I haven't listened to a happy song in months. And then I realized summer is just around the corner! So I just threw together a 40-track summertime playlist in the last few minutes, and thought I'd share it with you guys. Maybe you'd even have some recommendations for more songs to add? Thanks

Great list! I love that Sublime track, it carries so much nostalgia for me.

Personally, I'd obliterate A-Punk from that list, in favor or Mansard Roof, Campus, Horchata, Giving Up the Gun, or pretty much any other VW track.

Haha, but A-Punk is so fun to beat on the dashboard while you're driving a boat.
Maybe I'll take it off for Diplomat's Son. I can't get enough of that song (well, of everything VW makes, really). Thanks!

Oh, I just realized, how could Summertime Clothes be missing from this list?

Really feeling you on a lot the tracks in your list there, I think I need to get some of them on my playlist! One band I've discovered this summer that will be high on my list is Hurts, a brilliant UK electonic duo. I've loved everything they've done and right now their single Better Than Love is on repeat. Top track!

Hello Seattleite!

There is some stuff I enjoy on there. I don't ever really make playlists (I mainly just listen to albums) but I'm sure I can think of a few songs that would be good additions.

My album of last summer turned out to be Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest, for what it's worth. Some duds but also some truly magical songs on there. Kelpe also got a lot of play from me over the summer, name the LP Ex-Aquarium and the remix EP Extraquarium.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Well that is a fantastic playlist and I enjoy much of what is on it, loving the Surfer Blood and Passion Pit most.

^Wow, that is an incredible playlist. A friend of mine who recently moved here from Australia actually showed me Empire of the Sun earlier today, I'd heard a few of their songs before but never knew who they were till now. they're an Australian band, and she knows one of the guys personally, so that was pretty cool.
Anyway, I added We Are The People to my list, along with a few other songs. I'll update it on here later tonight.
