Yeah, that's basically the complaint that's cropped up the most with him that I've heard. Same with a few other artists I love like Midnight Oil, Scritti Politti and so on. Obviously I've got nothing against them myself, but I can definitely see the angle all the naysayers are coming from.

I've come to the conclusion that I really dislike a majority of country music. I've really tried to get into some of them and actually perused Pete's entire Gothic Americana thread.
