We Need A "What Genre Is This" Thread
 

As the title says, we need a official thread in general music were we can ask what genre a artist belongs to, becuase I know some artist that I can not classify.

Like David Bowie, what genre is he in?

No we don't

Then atleast tell me what sub genre David Bowie is in.

Be more constructive with your feedback, please.

Glam Rock/Art Rock

What about his Soul & Jungle albums?

The song I was tagging is "Fame", so Glam Rock/Art Rock sounds like the right genre.

I meant in General if I was counting every album it would be quite a long list.

I wish there was a website that states what subgenre an artist is, some come close to this idea, but the problem is that not all artists get a agreeable tag, like Sputnik Music, who just bluntly classified David Bowie as "Rock".

Why don't you just choose one you like & use that?

Some artists are harder to classify then others.
