Default Any fans of Jeremy Camp?

By accident I've discovered the music of Jeremy Camp recently and I'm quite impressed by his songs and his voice. I'm European and it's not easy to get music that is not popular in a global sense.

I was wondering if there are any other fans of his music in this forum (I couldn't find any thread about him).
How would you classify his music? Rock? Pop? Anything else?
What is your favorite song?

Hey Robert,
It's funny that you posted this because I've actually been getting into Jeremy Camp over the past few days. I used to hear his stuff on the radio and (to be honest) at first I wasn't really that impressed. But for some reason a couple months ago I decided to look into more of his stuff. It wasn't until this weekend when I was listening to some songs on shuffle that I was struck by one of his songs that I actually enjoyed (the song was "I Still Believe" off the album Stay). His lyrics, above all else, are what make the songs.
I'd say his stuff is kind of a pop/rock/ballad type mix - pretty straightforward, nothing too out of the ordinary.
As far as favorite song, I'd probably say "Take My Life." It's heavier than what he usually does and I'm into that kind of stuff (I really like his voice on the track too). If you haven't done so already, I'd recommend checking out Stay. It's a really good album and has a bunch of good tunes on it ("Understand" and "Walk by Faith"). I also like "Take You Back," "Breathe," and "This Man" off Restored.
What about you? And what else do you listen to?

Hey Highwayman!

"I Still Believe" is a great one, I agree. And it's the first song from Jeremy Camp I came across, hence my good impression. I know him only from YouTube as you cannot buy his albums normally in music stores, at least not in Germany. I need to get them via Amazon.com.

I'm really into the unplugged album with songs like "This Man", "Right Away", "My Desire", "Empty Me" etc. I know that he recorded a little heavier songs as well. "Speaking Louder Than Before" is also one of my favorites.

What else do I like? Well, it's easier to say what I don't like as I have nothing against good piece of music no matter what genre. In my earlier years I was a big fan of heavier sounds (Pearl Jam, Offspring, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden) and actually this is still the case. But I'm also into classic and soundtrack music.

Nice! Same here. I pretty much like anything as long as it's good! Your signature says you teach (German lecturing). I'm studying English Education here in the US and have a friend who's studying Ed as well and is practically fluent in German. What exactly do you teach?

And, Donna, welcome! All are welcome here! What kind of music are you into?
