Overrated Songwriters

Anyone have any opinions on this one?

My picks would be:

Eric Clapton
Frank Black
Issac Brock

James 07-23-2010 05:10 PM

Bob Dylan
There I said it.

I dont even like the way he spells his last name..Dylan.
I prefer it spelled 'Dillon', as in Matt Dillon.

Your right, English was always my strongest subject. My English teacher always said to me "You're English is what's important. Not You're math." I could of shook his hand. He was right, They're isn't anything more important than good English!

That's a very clever use of homophones.

Meh, I always see the x1 shit as +1, I agree with that statement!

Which is essentially what it is. We should stick with +.

Oh and fuck off blaming the schools, it was my mum, she smoked pot whilst pregnant and dropped me on my head. Blame her. Bitch.

Don't fret about it, US education is pretty bad too.

Melissa had to remind me the other day that India was located in south asia and not the middle east.

My Geography is worse than my Maths, so don't you fret. I don't even know England that well. Geography is by far my worst subject, followed by Maths. F*cking hated maths.

Lol. Ironically (and maybe you did it on purpose idk) I can find like 6 or 7 things wrong with that sentence just at a glance. Are you sure English is your strong point?

I'm not gonna go through and point out every error, they're eassy enough to notice on your own.

Since I did them on purpose, I'd imagine it to be quite easy for me to spot them.

boo boo 07-23-2010 06:28 PM

I'm terrible at geography and math.

And history, at least concerning other countries.

My best subject? I don't really have one, I'm a dummy overall. But I'd like to think I'm decent at Anthropology as long as it's relevant to my culture and interests.

TheCunningStunt 07-23-2010 06:29 PM

I'm being a bit picky but...

Well I wasn't sure if you did or not.
Glad it was on purpose, I thought you were kind of an idiot there for a minute, no offense intended.

Great defense. I'm going with that next time I drive drunk.

If you have a history of driving sarcastically, then it would be more convincing. I have a history of being a grammar Nazi.

Kanye West is a joke, everyone sees him as a joke after 808s.

Guy Chambers. Angels may be the most requested song at weddings and funerals regarding UK occasions but the clue is in the statement. It's both depressing and soul crushingly normal.

Roger Waters...oooohhhhh. His solo stuff generally stinks and don't pretend it doesn't. The fact that a lot of his bass work was played by Gilmour backs this up. He writes some brilliant lyrics and melodies but he has blown since 1987 let's be honest.

TheCunningStunt 07-23-2010 07:02 PM

I was gonna nominate the tw*ts out of Pink Floyd, but I didn't want another PF roasting.

ROFL. My fave band but they do have this horrible middle class stance that is true to their upbringing.

They are not twats though. Just not your sort of music. You will learn ;)

Nah, I don't mind them. I just get sick of their fans.

DSOTM is okay, Piper at the Gates of Dawn is bollocks. Most of their albums are, but DSOTM is the only one I can tolerate.

I think they're both incredibly overrated songwriters, Walters and the other guy. Gilmour?

That Walters- I know. Terrible and DSOTM is average beyond belief (sorry Booboo).

DSOTM is my favourite Floyd album for what it's worth, but that's like saying 'that piece of shit smells a bit better than that one. I like that piece of shit the best'.
