What Do You Think Should Be The Dominant Music Genre?

I voted hiphop because I thought it was amusing that both hip hop and rap where listed but I would prefer if something other then the abomination that is hip-pop was made dominant

Well I would assume that the dominant genre would be dominant because most people are listening to it.

As I listen to my own music collection & not that of other people I think I can safely say that I don't really care which genre is dominant and I doubt to many other people really do either.

I mean lets say Bulgarian polka metal is the most dominant genre in the world, that doesn't mean people are suddenly going to rush to listen to it just because it is.

Pop should be. It always has been and always should be. Too bad these days, it is just mindless, disposable garbage and shows the talent of of the artists management, not the artist themselves.

Perhaps if there wasn't a dominant genre of music. Fat cat producers would stop force feeding up sh!t and music would go back to what it should be. People playing what they feel. And the people who connect with it buying it and listening to it.

Someone told me that the New Pornographers are cerebral pop. So I that would meant Intellectual pop. And they are pretty good. Not to mention Neko Case is about the hottest redhead I've ever seen.
