God forbid! boardsofcanada, throw all this stuff away and tune in to your local radio station. You're clearly on the wrong path to musical enjoyment.

thank god. Strawberry Jam fo life.

Also it's cool that Cosmogramma and Skinny Fists were on here. Love both those albums. I used to be really into that Sigur Ros album...but alas, it has grown of me.

I said "bizarre" not "obscure." I meant too much of the music has a weird sound, like Neu!. And I didn't say ALL the music is like that, I know Sigur Ros isn't. However, the Kona Triangle album is obscure. As of right now it doesn't have a Wikipedia article.

Obviously most people on this thread don't like what I'm saying so I'll butt out.

Nice work pal, this is looking good. Special props for the Neu! and Autechre albums, those are good 'uns!

That Flying Lotus album is amazing at times, but some of it still hasn't really sunk in yet for me. I expect it will eventually though, his previous album was a similar story... took a good 6 or 7 listens before I loved the whole thing. Anyway, I'm excited to see what comes next here :)

#41: EITS: The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place
http://cdn.pitchfork.com/media/2879-...dead-place.jpg

This one's for you Urban. Explosions In The Sky. We all know how much you love post rock and the long band names that follow :p:. That aside, This is a really good album. The opener First Breath After Coma is breathtakingly beautiful (no pun intended) and it's a known fact that Your Hand In Mine is one of the best Post Rock songs ever. oh yeah.

#40: Steve Reich: Electric Counterpoint
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61jZjfAA-AL.jpg

(i'm only reviewing Electric Counterpoint here, folks)
I admit it, I only know of Steve Reich because of The Orb's Little Fluffy Clouds. I'm truly that lame. But, still, sampled by The Orb or not, This is still an awesome piece. The three pieces intertwine so nicely together, and some real musicianship was put into this masterpiece. this is only second to Different Trains, which is up higher on the list.

@boardsofcanada

I dont really know much of your music so far, but what I do know, I like. Do you mind me asking how old you are? You seem plenty more mature than how old your photo makes you seem :/
