I guess I will start on new song wars since The War On Drugs won with at least 5 votes.

These aren't well known artists, I hope that's ok.

SLEEPING AT LAST - INTERMISSION - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwv2LsLo4pY

VS

NEW MADRID - AND SHE SMILES - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8PbnJbMv3E

Sorry dude that's not how this thread works. You have to PM me if you want a war and it must have some sort of general theme. Post-rock giants facing off from either side of the Atlantic ocean. (I've had to pick somewhat short songs)

Mogwai - Auto Rock

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Sleep

Sorry, I didn't know that. I will PM you next time I want to do a song war. Thanks for let me know. Btw, I am not a dude. lol. But it's ok.

I have actually heard a few tracks by Godspeed and thought they'd definitely win for me, but Mogwai was just jivin better man. Really dramatic ****.

Mogwai: 1
Godspeed You! Black Emperor: 0

i really like both....but have to say that the Mogwai track is very reflective of my present mood

Mogwai 2
GSYBE 0

I didn't expect this one to get many votes because people have short attention spans but I was genuinely curious cause I love both these songs a lot. Mogwai win!
Next up a nomination from bob!

Jawbox - Savory
vs

Jawbreaker - Million

Before I even listen to the songs I'm going to predict a Jawbreaker victory because they are crazy popular here.

I guess I'll help your prediction, because I'm picking Jawbreaker, I really like Dear You.

Jawbox: 0
Jawbreaker: 1

The Jawbox embedding didn't quite work out.

I like the Jawbox track better, though both are good, because of the more dissonant direction with the instrumentation. Note the length of both songs , nicely done bob.

Jawbox - 1
Jawbreaker - 1

trust me.....i put way to much thought into this :)

so my plan was to create a soapbox for myself to explain why evetybody should be listening to Jawbox.....and you should.....they are by far one of the best post hard core bands.....and Savory is such an amazing song

but.....the second I hear Jawbreaker the sensitive guy in me takes over......and this song has so many cute sensitive guy momments :)

Jawbox 1
Jawbreaker 2

Modest Mouse: 1
Spoon: 2
