I thought The Hollies were from Blackpool. Choosing between The Fall and The Chameleons was HELL.

The Smiths for me. Joy Division and The Chemical Brothers are awesome as well though.

The Courteeners make me cry.

You gotta be kidding me

Noel Gallagher - Two and a half good albums, plenty of good collaborations with people the The Chemical Brothers, Death In Vegas & Goldie.

John Squire - One good album, terrible second album. And I wouldn't make my worst enemy listen to an album by The Seahorses. Don't know if he's done anything since that. Don't really care either.

Ian Brown & Mani were the talent in the Roses.

I'm from Manchester, and I dislike all the bands on that list.
I can't think of any bands that I do like from Manchester tbh.

Hardly surprising coming from someone who left Manchester for Cardiff.

Still no mention of The Space Monkeys?

The Fall, pretty much all the way. Joy Division is great, but it's not the fall.

Hm...don't know why I've been avoiding this thread. I went with Joy Division, but it's based more on impact rather than them being the "greatest". It was a toss up between them and the Smiths.

I've avoided the thread because there are at least 5 great bands on that list.

It's easier for me to say who's definitely NOT the greatest: James
