Certainly some remaster tack on sucky bonus tracks at the end, and it is a pain in the ass, but not all remasters are like this. I love the kind that put bonus material on the second disc. For instance, Amon Amarth's "Once Sent From The Golden Hall" keeps the original version intact on disc one, and a live version of the songs performed by the current lineup on disc 2. There's also a lot of remaster that combine two albums on one disc which is a great value.
