The MB Sample Source Thread

I'm pretty sure we don't already have a thread like this. If someone knows that we do have one, let me know and I'll close this. Anyway, the idea is basically to create a place where people can ask if anyone else knows the origin of a sample used in a song or post any interesting sample sources they've found out about.

Good idea. This will be quite useful indeed.

I'm actually wondering where the spoken word intro to Wu Tang Clan's Can it be all so Simple comes from. It sounds like the mom from The Cosby Show.

It's from Galdys Knight & the Pips' "The Way We Were":

Great thread idea Janszoon. Don't have any pressing questions right now but I'm sure it will be really useful.

Ah, awesome. Thanks. I've always wondered.

Well I have a question myself, about the Edan song "Polite Meeting". At the very end of the song there's a sample of a very 60s pop/psychedelic sounding song with lyrics that are something like "Love one. Love all. Love is the very fountain...". Anyone know what this song is? There's also a sample of some kind of interview right before it that I'm kind of curious about too. I don't know if the guy talking is the one who wrote the sampled song or not but I'm guessing so.

Interview clip starts around 1:50 and the music sample fades into it around 2:00.
