Turquoise_Days, you should make friends with RVCA.
I find this thread a little silly, mainly because in 2009 I had about 250 albums and now I have about 1,300. I've pretty much found all my favourite albums this year. Maybe 2011 won't be as prosperous, so if we have this thread come the end of 2011 I may be able to post a few favourites. |

250 to 1300? Where did you find the time to listen to them all??!!!! Well done, though. I find it takes me a good few weeks to really get into an album, once the first listen convinces me that I want to listen it again - as a result, I've got a backlog of albums that will easily take me into...ooooh, 2015? |

Some more ...
![]() Longwave, Secrets Are Sinister, 2008 (I loved their first two albums, but lost interest after the horrible "There's A Fire." A fantastic return to form for a criminally underrated band) ![]() Tahiti 80, Activity Center, 2009 (Excellent English-speaking French pop group who are virtually unknown in the states) ![]() The United States of America, self-titled, 1968 (Melodic, psychedelic rock album that didn't do a thing upon late 60s release. "The Garden of Earthly Delights" is among the standout tracks) ![]() Talking Heads, More Songs About Building and Food, 1978 (I dismissed this band for so long. Now I wonder why; love the nervy energy on this one) |

Yep that's my favorite Talking Heads Album, closely followed by Remain in Light. Yeah, the energy really stands out in that album, especially starting out with Thank You For Sending Me an Angel, and then the bass line in With Our Love is pretty amazing. Now that I think about there's a lot of great bass lines in that album.
