You're not going to find those easily here. 8-track never really took off.
Mainly because Philips (along with Nakamichi) made the compact cassette.
Cassette drives are really small compared to 8-track ones. So they're easier to build into small portable radio's. So that's what you find here. Loads of 60's cassette players

yeah they're pretty rare out here too, but my father was a musician so he spent a small fortune on audio stuff back in the day. even had a customized Fender Rhodes with just 2 or 3 octaves of keys (just for bass tones).

:D

That's awesome, man. Seriously. Better than any youtube comment I've read in a long time.

As far as "Music" goes it's quite ****? You're in the minority, the sales figures would have us believe.

WTF music do you like anyway? Just so I can have a comparison to base your ridiculously biased opinions on. I, myself, like and listen to all kinds of music, from Gaga to Snoop Dog to the Beatles to Slipknot, and I even have a Hawksley Workman CD or two in my collection.

I just read this paragraph on Wikipedia, which ends with a stupid musical statement that I can't fathom from no less than Cat Stevens:

Quote:

While on holiday in Marrakech, Morocco, shortly after visiting Ibiza, Stevens was intrigued by the sound of the Aḏhān, the Islamic ritual call to prayer, which was explained to him as "music for God". Stevens said, "I thought, music for God? I’d never heard that before – I’d heard of music for money, music for fame, music for personal power, but music for God!"
Really, Cat? Really? You had never heard of gospel music before? You must have led an amazingly sheltered life.

Maybe he was being sarcastic?
