Therefore the 00's started on the 1st January 2000 and ended on the 31st December 2009.
Yeah, people who make the "but there wasn't a year zero" argument always fail to realize that there wasn't a year one either. The gregorian calendar wasn't adopted until many centuries after the fact and the julian calendar which it was modification of actually began in 45 BC.

No love for Wolf Parade - Apologies to Queen Mary? That might be my favorite album in the past quarter century.

My top 10 of the past ten years:

Wolf Parade - Apologies to Queen Mary
Bad Religion - Process of Belief
Radiohead - Kid A
Stankonia - Outkast
King Khan and the Shrine - What Is?!
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Sunset Rubdown - Dragonslayer
New Pornographers - Twin Cinema
Fugazi - the Argument
Women - Women
Beck - Sea Change

Ok, so it was 11. Whatever.

That band sucks so bad. I went to see them in concert and the only thing good about it was the heckler in the crowd who called it like it was.

I could argue about this, but I would just end up getting a bit flustered. Not to mention musical taste arguments get people virtually nowhere.
