^^ The album Skally sent me was bad ass. Really great Thrash/Death Metal. I think my favourite songs were Scars and Lock Up Your Children.

Could anybody recommend me anything based on my Last.fm?

We like a lot of the same stuff, and this is one of my favourite albums, so perhaps you will enjoy it as well.

Chrysalis 05-29-2011 12:04 PM

^^Thanks! Due to me getting out of school recently, I actually had time to listen to this. I really enjoyed it, although it was pretty depressing.

Actually, this was the only album that was still in my Downloads folder when you recommended it to me. From the same link that you sent me.

Can anybody recommend me anything else?

Paedantic Basterd 05-29-2011 10:34 PM

Did I recommend that to you twice? Heavens. About time then.

No, I actually downloaded it a few months before from the same link you sent, and it never left my downloads folder for some reason.

I only noticed it when I was unzipping the ZIP you sent and it asked if I wanted to replace the old files.

if someone wants to suggest me something based on my last.fm (overall), that'd be awesome.

Blarobbarg 05-31-2011 08:59 PM

If someone could recommend something for me, that would be awesome. It doesn't even have to follow my listening trends, just something that is mind blowingly amazing. In case you care, here's my Last.FM. Warning: My overall won't be of much use as my listening habits have drastically changed over the years. Also, I've been listening to a ton of CDs lately, and obviously don't scrobble them.

EDIT- And, I guess specifically, if any of you are really into Shoegaze I would love to hear the SINGLE BEST Shoegaze album ever. Ever. But only if it really is going to completely blow my everloving mind.

For Blarobbarg - an appropriately mind-blowing tropicalia album

Gilberto Gil - Gilberto Gil (1968)

from rateyourmusic: "So..anyone else ever wondered how it happens in Brazil? Like, you come to the studio, sit threre for a few hours, smoking, drinking beer, having a nap or a conversation, playing table tennis and then there's an album full of perfect pop songs laying in the bin? Or what?"

@pedestrian: I've listened to Petr and the Wulf once now, gonna sit on it for a bit and re-listen, then post a review. Thanks.

Blarobbarg 06-01-2011 09:05 AM

Awesome, thanks! Thank you also DocSoft for the shoegaze. I'll give both albums a few listens and come back with my reviews.
