The Send Someone Something They Dont Listen To but May Like Thread
The idea is simple. If you have an album that you think another member would like but they do not typically listen to that kind of music (as far as you know) then send it to them!
I do ask that you post on here what you are sending, to whom, and a picture of the album cover. And by all means let once you have received something let the rest of the board know if you liked it or not. (Not a review necessarily but an overview) And of coarse do not forget the PM of upload album! Now do not get this confused with the Trading Post, as that is sending someone something you know they will like within what you think there musical boundaries are. This is to further enhance that with no set trade dates or partners. -------------------------------------- To nonsubmissivewife: The Tallest Man On Earth - The Wild Hunt From what I can tell you like a lot of indie/acoustic type rock so perhaps you will like this if you havnt heard it already. Its his newest album.

I also have a hard time making suggestions that people aren't already aware of. I'm probably one of the least-progressed listeners who posts here regularly! I'll trawl your lastFM for a bit, RVCA, and see if I come up with a worthwhile suggestion.
EDIT: Thank god you can search libraries alphabetically. I think I have one. For RVCA Mercury Rev - Deserter's Songs I see that you've been listening to 00s Flaming Lips, and Deserter's Songs is a more serious, darker take on that kind of fantastical sound. i figured since you (Pedestrian) replied first i'd send something real tasty
for Pedestrian: DEVO - Duty Now For The Future this is Devo's second album (1979) and in my opinion their best i looked through 15 pages of your top artist and feel that you have a knack for intelligent indie pop music and also a bit of a flare for some of the old post-punk type stuff.....this is a bit of both with some added sarcasm and a bit of synth....this is pre "Whip It" and very different (i uploaded the 2010 remaster with some great extras) enjoy |

This is an awesome idea Rezz! And thanks for the album. I have heard of it, but never listened to it, so I'm looking forward to it, and I'll most definitely come back here and let y'all know how it went.

All right pink freud, I want to send you something but you listen to everything. You like post-punk though, right? I have something that you might've never heard, but I'm not sure if it qualifies as the "kind of music you wouldn't listen to".
